Sunset at Bakheng Hill
The most popular place to take in an Angkor sunset is atop the Phnom Bakheng. This is a hill that sits high above the surrounding landscape and provides a great view to the Angkor Wat. With the light right from the sun, the entire place glows orange and red. It really is breathtaking. But too bad that day it was too cloudy.
Sunrise at Angkor Wat
Sunrise is a magical time of day, The best way to experience Angkor Wat for the first time is to arrive very early and watch the towers appear gradually out of the dark gloom before you as dawn breaks, then watch the sun bathe Angkor in it's morning glow. It is just a breath taking view from the lake in front of Angkor with it's reflection.
